That’s why I Love Life
Not doing anything exhausting the woman tries
out ice cream in abundance and eats black licorice, cake frosting, and does the
things she adores.
The woman seems carefree and not worried about anything because
life is good.
Living and enjoying life to the fullest is what she is
after.
Watching good drama movies with
popcorn and butter filled her heart with excitement, finding herself in a
discount store.
She’s the happiest when its Christmas or her
birthday.
In this poem, “That’s why I Love
Life”, by Andrea Dietrich does an outstanding job explaining how the woman
actually feels when doing the things which make her pleased using descriptive
writing.
Dietrich writes, “seeing god’s
wonders – like sunsets and flowers. Looking at paintings or readings for hours.
Dancing and laughing, and oh, so much more. I’m always doing the things I
adore.”
The reader is able to imagine how joyful
she must be from her actions and the way she’s feelings.
Since life is a ball to her she’s
always doing things that make her happy, leading her to appreciate and cherish
the beautiful and adventurous life she has.
This example shows the emotions of
a woman who takes value in the littlest things that can be the biggest blessing
in one’s life.
