Proudest achievement
Graduating from De Anza College after being on probation for two consecutive years was my happiest moment.
It was a very important and proud moment for me because I pulled through when I really needed to do so and didn’t let anything distract me from my schoolwork.
When I moved to California from Kuwait I didn’t expect it to be so different which made my focus on school drift away because I wanted to experience everything and go everywhere in California since it was my first time ever in the United States.
I am usually a hardworking student and get A's when I put my mind and focus into studying.
My proudest achievement was finishing my education at De Anza College where I got my AA degree and transferring to San Jose State University.
I was completely lost at De Anza College because I didn’t know which classes to exactly take which resulted in me taking unnecessary classes because I didn’t seek any help.
I was on the verge of getting suspended from De Anza College which was extremely bad for me because that meant being sent back to Kuwait with little chance of returning to California.
Finally, I realized the position I was in and pulled myself together and put all my focus towards school and getting good grades.
Completing those three years at De Anza College was the proudest moment I had because I never expected to graduate since I was on probation and didn’t get good grades because of my lack of concentration.
I’ve had the goal of accomplishing graduating in College for a long time because that was part of my plan before moving to California to attend College but it was hard achieving that goal because of all the distractions and lack of concentration involved.
